Vertex Venture Holdings (Vertex Group) was founded in 1988 as the
venture capital arm of the former
Singapore Technologies Group (ST).
We are headquartered in
Singapore and have offices in Silicon Valley (USA),
Tel-Aviv and Beijing.
Since 1988, we had launched a total of 13 direct funds with an
aggregate fund size in excess of US$1 billion invested in more than
300 companies in the US, Europe, Israel and Asia. As of August 2008,
more than 150 of our portfolio companies have either achieved listings on Stock
Exchanges in the US, Europe, Taiwan and Singapore, or were acquired
by other companies. We also invested in 2 co-managed funds and over 86
third-party venture funds.
We aim to add value to our portfolio companies. We help identify
cross-border market opportunities, marketing and distribution
channels, products, manufacturing partners, and alternative
financing sources. We are able to achieve this through:

We have built up our knowledge by concentrating on investments in this
field, and especially in industry sectors such as communications, internet,
software, electronics and semiconductors.
- Our worldwide network of contacts, which include entrepreneurs, research
institutes, industry analysts, angel investors, investment bankers and
other venture capital companies.
- Our team of experienced investment managers. We
have more than 20 investment professionals in our global network of offices.
Our team comprises experienced people with multi-disciplinary backgrounds
and skills in industry, banking, corporate finance, business development
and operations.
